Ahmet Cangoz is a Partner and the CEO of Sistem Global. Prior to joining Sistem Global he has been a Partner in Deloitte Turkey and he led Tax&Legal Department. During his tenure at Deloite, he also acclaimed the role of Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Sector Leader. Previously, he served as a tax inspector in the Ministry of Finance and as a top executive in large private companies. Ahmet is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Mediterra and serves on the investment committee. Prior to founding Mediterra, Ahmet was with KKR in London where he had the responsibility of expanding KKR’s investing activities in Turkey. Alvaro Ortiz is the Head of Transformation of BBVA Research. He also manages as Chief Economist for Turkey and Chief Economist for Big Data Economics. He is also lecturer on Geopolitics at University Carlos III (Madrid). Dr Ortiz holds a PhD in Economics by Universidad Autónoma (Spain) an Advanced Diploma in International Economics and Policy Research by The Kiel Institute for World Economics (Germany) and a Diploma of Machine Learning for Economics by Cemfi (Spain). Ayşem Sargın was appointed as the Managing Director and Country Executive for Boeing Turkey in September 2015. Prior to joining Boeing, she was the Government Affairs and Policy Director for General Electric (GE) in Turkey, where she set and led the company’s government engagement and policy strategy, with a focus on expanding growth across all GE businesses. Previously, Sargın worked as the External Affairs Manager for British Petroleum (BP) Turkey, where she worked on an international gas transit agreement, paving the way for realization of a major international pipeline project. Prior to her private sector experience, Sargın worked for more than 10 years in the U.S. Embassy in Ankara as a Senior Economic Advisor. In this role, she worked on strengthening U.S.-Turkey trade and investment portfolio, with specific focus on energy, aviation, healthcare and telecommunications sectors. Sargın graduated from the Middle East Technical University Economics Department. In her early career, she worked in the Treasury Department of Turk Eximbank, where she developed an understanding of financial market operations and export financing mechanisms in Turkey. Sargın was recently elected as the President of the International Investors’ Association (YASED) which represents 85 percent of all foreign direct investments (FDI) in Turkey. Sargın is a Board Member in the American Business Forum in Turkey (AmCham-ABFT).

Burcu Ünüvar has been working as the Head of Economic Research Department of the TSKB since April 2017. Before joining the TSKB team, Ms Ünüvar worked at İ.D. Bilkent University (Ankara) and Yasar University (İzmir) as lecturer at the Department of Economics. Her fields of academic research focus on financial economics, mainly monetary policy and central bank communication. Before her academic career, she worked 10 years at the investment banking as an economist. Ms Ünüvar holds a Bachelor Degree on Business Administration and an MSc Degree on Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Cenk Bayrakdar, after numerous management roles in Arçelik between 1994 and 2000, joined Turkcell in 2000. In Turkcell, he has cultivated the GSM ecosystem as the Partnering and Content Business Area Division Head until 2006. He served as the Chief Information Officer of Turkcell Group between 2006-2009 and led the restructuring of IT processes and mission-critical operational platforms for the company, including Campaign Management, CRM, Billing and Data Warehousing. He also led the establishment of the core R&D arm of Turkcell Group, Turkcell Teknology. Following his tenure as the CIO, he served as the Chief New Technology Businesses Officer between 2009 and 2013, envisioning and delivering new lines of businesses for Turkcell’s long-term growth. Utilizing experience both in technology and business management; he acted as Turkcell’s innovation spearhead and led projects such as M2M, Telco 2.0, Mobile Payment, Digital Wallet, Turkcell TV, Turkcell branded handsets (T10,T20) and various Internet ventures. He left Turkcell in 2013 to found one of the first venture capital funds in Turkey, Revo Capital, focusing on early-stage technology opportunities in Turkey and the region. As the Managing Director of Revo, Cenk continues to lead dealflow and portfolio management activities. He graduated from Hacettepe University, Economics and Gazi University, Faculty of Law. He did his degree of LLM in International Commercial Law at Essex University, School of Law, UK. He pursues his doctoral degree at Hacettepe University, Private Law. He began to work at Secretariat of the State Planning Organisation, the Prime Ministry. Then he served at Account Experts Board and Tax Inspection Board under the Ministry of Finance. He gave lectures of accounting at Hacettepe University. He was assigned as head of department on November 2014 and assigned as vice president on August 2017 to Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority of Turkey. Dilek Duman joined DenizBank Financial Services group as the Information Technologies Group Manager in 1997. After she worked as Intertech’s General Manager between 2004 and 2008, she has been COO of DenizBank A.S. since Junary 1st, 2009. She started her career in 1989 as a software engineer and she joined Intertech in 1993 as Technical Consultant. Mrs. Duman received her Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from Bogazici Universitesi in 1990. Dilek Duman is recently managing Intertech, Central Operations and Card Operations.

Erkut Tekinkaya began his career in 1991 as Accounting and Finance Specialist at Ramko Construction Inc. From 1994, he served as Finance Director at Döktaş, as Budget and Administrative Accounting Manager at Ram Trading Inc., as Finance Manager at Koç Bilgi ve Savunma Teknolojileri, and as Group Manager at Koç Net Telecommunication Technologies and Communication Services Inc. In 2006, Tekinkaya was appointed Chief Financial Officer at Koç Net Telecommunication Technologies and Communication Services Inc., and assumed the position of Deputy General Manager Finance & Commercial at Vodafone Net Communication Services Inc. following the merger in 2011. From 2012, Tekinkaya served as CFO at Zer Central Services and Trade Inc. He began his role as the Chief Financial Officer at KoçSistem in May 2017. Erkut Tekinkaya received his Bachelor’s degree from Marmara University, an MBA from Istanbul University, and an Executive MBA in Business Management from Koç University. Ethem Sancak was born in Siirt in 1954 and completed his primary and secondary education in the same city. He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration in 1976. Sancak gave priority to health sector according to his principles of local development and Turkey’s leadership in global competition and founded Hedef Pharmaceuticals and Medical Warehouse in 1981. Hedef Pharmaceuticals became an international brand in a short time and Sancak formed a strategic partnership with Alliance Boots in 2001. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hedef Alliance and served as a member of Executive Committee of Alliance Boots until 2014. Sancak established Medical Park Hospitals Group within the scope of health investments and soon left the health sector and turned to media and defense industry investments. With the foresight of “New Turkey vision can only be preserved with the help of defense industry and international media power”, Sancak bought Türk Media Group and Star Media Group and formed “ES Media Group” in 2013 and then, later in the same year, he bought BMC, a Turkish brand. By the end of the last quarter of 2017, he left the media sector and turned to investments in the agriculture and livestock sector. His investments in defense industry are also continuing. Sancak was elected “Business Administrator of the Year” in 2001, and “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2005. He received the “National Sovereignty Outstanding Service and Honor Award” from the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in 2007. In recognition of his services as Honorary Consul of Brazil in Istanbul from 2006 to 2010, he was honored by the President of the Federal Republic of Brazil, Lula da Silva, with the Medal of Rio Branco, the highest service medal in Brazil. Ethem Sancak is married and has three children.

Fatih Aydin is a partner at Blue River Capital, a London based asset management firm. He is a member of the investment committee and manages the firm’s special situations investments. Prior to joining Blue River, he was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, where he started his career. After spending several years in structuring, sales and trading teams in Goldman Sachs London office, he founded the commodities fund, Etra, in 2012. He ran Etra’s trading arm as well as the investment fund. Mr Aydin re-joined Goldman Sachs in 2014 and was responsible for structured finance and principle investments in Emerging Markets. Furkan Ünal is currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of KARDEMIR (Iron Steel Industry Trade & Company Inc.) Previously he worked as a top level investment banker, investor and Board Member of a VC established in Turkey and independent Board Member of a Technology and a Construction Company working for different countries. He was formerly the Executive Managing Director and Group Head of Corporate Finance in Aktif Investment Bank (the largest investment bank in Turkey), Board Member of a PE established with Islamic Development Bank, Executive Board Member of Istanbul Finance Centre and Chairman of some subsidiaries in the Bank. He became the youngest Bank top- Executive of Turkey. Before his last two positions, he was the founding partner of an advisory/event company and the executive advisor of a global investment bank established in Bahrain-owned by Dubai Group. During his career, he has worked as a Senior Analyst, Project Manager and Partner in two different advisory houses for 6 years. He has worked and managed projects for World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, some selected Turkish Public Institutions and well known Global and Turkish private companies. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Executive and Advisory Board of Istanbul Finance Summit. He has published strategy reports and designed special arguments for Istanbul Financial Center Project. Mr Unal holds BSc.degree in Engineering and MBA degree from Uludag University and Bilgi University. He is a PhD Candidate in Organizational Studies at Istanbul Bilgi University.

Dinçerler started his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in Texas Office in 1994. He later transferred to Istanbul Office where he concluded his ten-year consulting career as a partner. After McKinsey he joined Avea in 2004, a mobile operator in Turkey, as Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for sales, marketing and customer care operations. During his three-year executive tenure at Avea, he managed the merger and oversaw the revenue and profit growth that firmly established Avea as a competitive player in the market. In 2006 he joined Turkven Private Equity where he serves as a Director and actively participates at several portfolio company boards. Born in 1959, Mr. Ateş graduated from Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration after completing his studies at TED Ankara College. He started his banking career in 1981 as an Internal Auditor at İşbank. After serving at various Interbank units from 1986 to 1993, he worked as a Branch Manager at Elmadağ, Şişli, Bakırköy, İzmir and Central Branches. He established Interbank’s Cash Management System and was promoted in 1993 to Executive Vice President in charge of Central Operations. Mr. Ateş worked as Executive Vice President in charge of Financial Affairs and Operations at Bank Ekspres between the years of 1994 and 1996 and led the bank’s restructuring project under the consultation of Bank of America. He established Garanti Bank Moscow in Russia and worked as CEO for one year starting from June 1996. He has continued his duties as the President & CEO at DenizBank, where he started in June 1997 as the Founder President. During his management tenure, DenizBank shares were offered to public in October 2004 where 5.5 times oversubscription was recorded. His management also ran the process of selling Zorlu Holding-owned DenizBank shares to Dexia S.A. in May 2006 for 3.250 Billion Dollars with 4,7 times its book value which is a record in Turkey, the sales process of 99.85% of DenizBank shares owned by Dexia Group to Sberbank 6 years later in June 2012 for 3.6 Billion Dollars with 1.33 times its book value. as well as the sales process of 99,85% of DenizBank shares owned by Sberbank to Emirates NBD for 15,48 billion TL and 1.0 multiplier despite challenging market conditions. In addition, the transfer of Deniz Emeklilik for 256 million Euros with 10 times its book value with a 15-year sales agreement in 2011 and taking over the retail Banking of Citi Turkey with about 1500 employees in 2013 also took place under the management of Mr Ateş. Also serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at DenizBank subsidiaries Deniz Yatırım Menkul Kıymetler A.Ş., Intertech A.Ş, DenizBank Moscow and DenizBank AG Vienna, Hakan ATEŞ was granted the “Those who Add Value to Turkey” award presented by Bahçeşehir University in 2015.

Hakan Çevikoğlu, has completed his higher education at Gazi and Bilkent Universities. He went to United States to support his career goals directing his knowledge and experiences. He participated in various training programs related to his career. In the light of the education, observations and experiences he received, he returned to Turkey to work in family companies aiming for continuous development. He started his career as a General Manager in family companies and managed many investments. He assumed the duties of Turkey’s national E-Commerce platform www.epttavm.com as the Founder and CEO which has partnerships and investments domestically and abroad. He also is continuing his works as the founding partner of www.ready2sale.com and the e- export platform called www.turkishsouq.com, which will be put into operation in many countries in order to provide easy export opportunities to SMEs in Turkey. He was born in 1973 in Ankara. He graduated from Ankara University, Department of International Relations In 1995. He started his professional career in Istanbul. He held upper management positions in finance and IT sectors. In 2005, he received MBA degree from Koç University. He worked actively in Eastern Europe, Gulf, Sub‐Saharan Africa and Turkic Republics. He was appointed to the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, Head of Economy Monitoring and Coordination in 2015, then to the Committee of Economic Policies Board Member in 2018, and lastly to the Public Oversight Accounting and Auditing Authority Board Member. He took Ph.D. degree on Business Administration with his thesis of “Evaluation and Future of the Turkish PPP Practice in The Light of Worldwide Impact and Determinants Analyses of PPP Projects” in 2018. He is fluent in English and had been a professional translator. He is married and has two children.

Hasan Kılıç joined Deloitte Turkey in 1990 and became partner in 2002. At Deloitte Turkey, he is experienced in audit and financial due diligence of banks and other financial institutions and holdings in Turkey. He is responsible from coordination and management of audit services given to financial institutions such as banks, leasing, factoring, broker, portfolio management and funds. He has significant audit experience in the framework of International Financial Reporting Standards («IFRS»), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the US («US GAAP»), and Turkish Accounting Standards («TAS») and in Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency («BRSA») regulations. Besides audit, he lead projects of merger and acquisition of banks and conglomerates. He has been the leading partner for the major financial due diligences of banking transactions. He has an important role in improving audit, financial reporting and audit standards in Turkey. Previously, he was Ethics Leader, Director of Independency, Risk and Reputation Leader and Audit Services Leader and the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deloitte Turkey. İlhami KELEŞ

Secretary General / Saha İstanbul


He was born in 1962 in Çorum / Alaca. He completed his primary and secondary education in Alaca and his high school education in Işıklar Military High School in Bursa. He graduated from the Land Force Academy in 1982 and from the Artillery and Missile School in 1983 as an Artillery Lieutenant. After serving in various units, he joined the Air Defense class and was one of the founders of the Air Defense School in 1997. He completed his postgraduate education at Gazi University in 2000, his commands and headquarters training at the Military Academy in 2003, and his master’s degree at Beykent University in 2005 on Education Management and Supervision. He was the project manager of the Air Defense Early Warning Command Control System HERIKKS ; Air Defense Radar KALKAN  produced by the consortium  under the leadership of ASELSAN, STM, HAVELSAN, TUBITAK and AYESAS and NATO Low Altitude Air Official Interface – LLAPI project. He retired in 2013 from Hadımköy Barracks Command, which he founded in 2010 and was the commander of it. In 2014, he established GOLD Electricity Company. İlhami Keleş is the first Secretary General of SAHA Istanbul Defense Aviation and Space Clustering Association which was established in March 2015 and still serving as Secretary General. İlhami KELEŞ is also Vice President of Defence and Aerospace Industry Manufacturers Association-SaSaD, member of TOBB Turkish Defence Industries Council, member of the Executive Committee of Presidency of Defence Industries-SSB, member of SSB high board and board member of TUBITAK SAGE.

Işıl Akdemir Evlioğlu has worked at Garanti Payment Systems as Executive Vice President of Marketing from 2012 to 2017 and was in charge of product management (credit and debit cards), card portfolio management, customer satisfaction and process optimization, marketing communication and advertising. She continues her career as CEO since 2017 at Garanti Payment Systems. She has 15 years of experience on marketing, strategy and operations projects in banking and payment systems. She started her professional life in 2003 as a management consultant in McKinsey. Mrs. Akdemir Evlioğlu was responsible for and leading Retail Banking and payment system practices in Turkish market as a Junior Partner with various projects locally and internationally before joining Garanti Bank.

İrtek Uraz is the Director of Corporate Finance in ÜNLÜ & Co. Uraz, who provides consultancy to the leading global and domestic companies on M&A, has closed one of the biggest sales deals with 2.4 billion TL in 2019. Before joining ÜNLÜ & Co; Uraz has worked as manager in international capital fund NBK Capital Partners and took part in many investments made by the firm in Turkey and Dubai. He has been a long time management consultant in Booz & Co responsible from Middle East and Europe. Throughout his career, he has taken several roles in investments made worth more than 2 billion USD both as an investor and a consultant. He is still the board member of two companies of which he is also an investor. Uraz has a global education background who holds a MBA degree from Columbia Business School, a Msc in Geostatistics from Stanford, a MSc in Computer Engineering along with a BSc in Petroleum Engineering both from Ortadoğu Teknik Üniversitesi. Before finance sector experience, Uraz was working in the global technology and energy company Schlumberger. He has several academical researches and thesis published about artificial intelligence and earth science.

Koray Gültekin Bahar was born in Üsküdar, İstanbul, 1981 and graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University, Department of Computer Engineering. In 2006, Koray started to work as a software developer at FIT Solutions, which is now Sovos Foriba. He managed SAP projects of enterprise companies such as IDO, Ulker, Borusan, and Temsa and gained international experience with projects such as ECI, IATCO, Unilever, and PG. Director General Economics, Statistics and Research / Banco de España


Oscar Arce is the Director General for Economics, Statistics and Research. He is a member of the Executive Commission of the Banco de España and Alternate to the Governor on the Governing Council of the European Central Bank. He is also a member of the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Union and of the Monetary Policy Committee of the European System of Central Banks. In 2018 he was appointed member of Spanish Higher Statistics Board, Board of Trustees of CEMFI and FEDEA, sitting in this latter case on this Foundation’s Executive Board. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Board of the International Center for Monetary and Banking Studies (ICMB). He also served as Associate Director General of Economics and Research, Director of Monetary and Financial Studies and as Head of the Division of Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecasting at the Banco de España. Before, he was the Director of the Research and Statistics department at the Spanish securities markets commission (CNMV), Deputy Director General at the Economic Bureau of the Spanish Prime Minister and prior to that he worked as a senior economist at the Banco de España. He was involved in the work of several international bodies with responsibilities on the fields of capital markets and systemic risk, including the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). Mr Arce holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a MSc Economics from the University College London, and has written extensively on macroeconomic, monetary and financial issues, including some articles published in top academic journals.

Ozan Acar is the Head of Industry Councils and Entrepreneurship Department at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey. He coordinates the activities of 61 different industry councils which brings together 2500+ most prominent private companies with the purpose of facilitating the contribution of the private sector to the sectoral policy making processes. Acar also leads TOBB’s activities for entrepreneurship ecosystem building through TOBB’s young and women entrepreneurship councils active in nation’s 81 provinces. In June 2016 Finansbank is aquired by QNB, since then Dr.Aras is continuing as the Chairman of QNB Finansbank. Prior to his career at Finansbank, Omer Aras has worked for Citibank (1984-87) and Yapı Kredi Bank (1987) in Turkey. He has also served on the Board of TUSIAD (Turkish Businessmen Association) between 2003 and 2007. Dr. Aras received his MBA and PhD (81) degrees from Syracuse University School of Management and served 3 years (81-84) at the business school faculty at the Ohio State University. Özgür Özel is Deputy Executive Director for Banking and Financial Institutions Department at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. He holds a Ph.D. in Financial Mathematics from the Middle East Technical University. He has an M.A. degree in Economics from the Sabancı University and an M.Sc. degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago. Simone Kaslowski was born in Torino, Italy in 1963. He graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1984, after completing primary education in Istanbul. He began working in the sales department at Organik Kimya, a family business, in 1985. Kaslowski significantly expanded exports of Organik Kimya products and was appointed head of sales in 1993. After actively working on various investment projects for the firm, Kaslowski was appointed CEO and became member of the board of directors in 1995. His leadership was instrumental in the growth and expansion of Organik Kimya. Organik Kimya operates in 80 countries and has a 250-thousand-ton production capacity in facilities in Kemerburgaz and Tuzla in Istanbul; Rotterdam, Holland; and Lugano, Switzerland. Simone Kaslowski worked to develop the chemical sector in Turkey and contributed to the Chemport project of the Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association. Kaslowski was Chairman of the Chemical Industry Task Force of TÜSİAD. She is Deputy for Erzurum (Turkish Grand National Assembly – 25th, 26th and 27 th Parliament) and Spokesperson of The European Union Harmonization Committee as well. She has graduated with Master Degree from Marmara University in “Economics” and from Bahçeşehir University in “ EU Relations” and she has also PhD Candidate from University of New Orleans on “Financial Economy”. After 2003, she has worked for AK Party as Commissioner of İstanbul and as Member of İstanbul Provincial Board of Directors between 2007-2015. Taşkesenlioğlu had also written books, articles and reports on migration integration, local governments, innovation at Public Sector, Social Dialogue Mechanisms, International Fund and Sources for Local Development and Turkey’s Service Export Report etc. Taşkesenlioğlu speaks English, French and Swahili.




Born in İstanbul, Zeynep Atakan graduated from the Department of Film and Television at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University. From 1986 to 1999, she worked in various roles in the television advertisement industry and specialized as a producer. After 1994, she continued her work at the company she co-founded. In 1999, Atakan transitioned to the film industry and started producing international film projects. In 2007, she started Zeynofilm, a company dedicated to producing film projects. In 2010, Atakan was awarded the European Film Academy’s Best European Co-Producer award. The same year, she launched the Yapımlab Workshops, with which she aims to share her experience and knowledge as a producer with young filmmakers. Zeynep Atakan is still the Vice President of EWA, the European Women’s Audiovisual Network, which works towards equal opportunities for women working in the audiovisual industries in Europe and around the world. In 2014, Atakan was awarded the Uçan Süpürge Bilge Olgaç Achievement Award, and her latest production Winter Sleep won the Palme d’Or at the 67th Cannes Film Festival, the festival’s most prestigious award Zeynep Atakan started the Antalya Film Forum, a co-production and project development market organized as part of the International Antalya Film Festival since 2014, and continues to work as its director. Atakan also organizes the Turkey section of the Young Audience Award, a project by the European Film Academy. She is the art director of the Sabancı Foundation Short Film Platform. Atakan is a member of the European Film Academy and the Asia Pacific Screen Academy.
